Nose reshaping is performed for multiple reasons such as  hump reduction, narrowing, shortening.

Long noses can be shortened, asymmetry can be modified and tips can be rotated to improve the naso-labial angle.

Usually performed under general anesthesia, most rhinoplasty surgery incisions are inside the nose, although a skin or OPEN approach may be necessary.
