| Snoring may bring you to our office. Snoring may isolated, with no breath-holding,
gasping or choking. noted by observers (spouse or friend).
If that is the case, and you do not have other signs of
sleep disorders, we can focus on the source of the noise, the uvula and
soft palate.
The palate is the vibrating area and reduction of the
size and shape of the uvula and soft palate is required.
Somnoplasty
is undertaken in our office, using local anesthesia taking usually two
sessions of 1/2 hour. Costs begin at $2200
for the two sessions, with 90% needing only this. If indeed further sessions are deemed necessary,
individual per treatment charges are necessary.
If you need a 3rd session, this will cost $200.
Uvular reduction may also be necessary and is best done at the third
visit. Uvula trimming costs $200.
Injection Snoreplasty
is another means to snore reduction.
